    Electrical and Controls Technician

    The electrical and controls technician will be responsible for:

    • Working under direction of shop foreman to construct pollution control equipment including 480V equipment wiring, hard and flex conduit installation, controls cabinet layout and wiring testing and troubleshooting, wiring and testing of Breen electronic instruments.
    • Effectively communicating with other Breen personnel, both written and verbally. Review and markup drawings to as built.
    • Able to produce instructional documentation for equipment. Extensive use of Microsoft Excel.
    • Performing manual labor safely in a heavy industry environment, sometimes outdoors or at night in all weather conditions during installation and commissioning of equipment. Operate, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites as necessary.
    • Assist with installation of equipment at customer’s site.
    • Complete electronic timesheet and expense reports on time.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Ability to conduct work safely in an industrial setting.
    • Successful completion of a pre-employment aptitude test.
    • 5+ years experience with 480V electrical wiring and controls systems.
    • Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
    • Ability to work under deadlines to complete a project as necessary.
    • Good physical condition and ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, don proper PPE.
    • Able to complete hands-on work including electrical wiring, conduit installation, and control cabinet building.
    • Excellent work ethic demonstrated by a positive attitude and the ability to complete work accurately and on time.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong customer focus and ability to relate well to others.
    • Good computer skills using Windows, MS Office- specifically Excel, and email. Autocad experience a plus.
    • Able to travel in the US 10%-40% as necessary.
    • Valid driver’s license required.
    • Regular drugs screens and a thorough background check are required.

    Compensation Package:

    • Salary of $40K – $60K -based on experience and aptitude test results
